Radio Frequency Face and Body Contouring

Radio Frequency (RF) Treatment for Face and Body Contouring

Radio-frequency (RF) is a safe and effective technology that has been clinically proven to rejuvenate facial skin, contour the body, and reduce cellulite and more.
The advantage of RF is its ability to deliver heat to the tissue non-specifically – unlike lasers that cause selective photothermolysis depending on the type of chromophores, RF delivers heat to the tissue based on the properties of the tissue itself, i.e. its level of electrical resistance.
Ziba’s Spa is utilizing SharpLight technology. SharpLight has an advanced multi-polar RF technology platform in which the energy is equally distributed between three sets of bi-polar centers (i.e. 6 polars). The advantage of this configuration is that each polar emits lower energy levels. This translates into less direct heat on the epidermis, yet higher cumulative heat delivered into the dermis layer. Furthermore, since the energy is distributed amongst the centers, it ensures that high levels of energy do not concentrate in the area with the lowest electrical resistance. This results in a highly effective treatment that is completely pain free.

RF Treatment for Facial and Neck Skin Tightening and Lifting: How does a radio frequency facial work?

Radiofrequency is all about stimulating your own collagen production. During a treatment a machine is used to heat the skin to between 38-40 degrees with radiofrequency, which feels like a hot stone face massage – you do feel heat in the skin but it's comfortabl

Is there any other discomfort or downtime involved?

It takes approximately 20 minutes to treat a whole face and the only discomfort is some feeling of heat in the skin which not everyone gets. There is no downtime – you could easily have a treatment at lunchtime and go out that evening looking amazing.

Can radiofrequency help reduce lines and wrinkles?

It's great for softening fine lines – especially the nose to mouth lines – as well as lifting the cheeks , tightening the jawline and neck, so it's great for age prevention.

What are the benefits and how long do they last?

You get an immediate tightening of the collagen fibres, so it's great to do before an event, but it also gives a long-lasting lift and increased volume. It also continues to promote collagen production over the four-six weeks following a treatment.

Who are radiofrequency facials best suited to?

Anyone experiencing loss of firmness and dullness in their skin. As well as collagen production, it also boosts oxygen levels in the skin, so it's great for general radiance. It's not recommended for skin with broken capillaries or rosacea.

RF Treatment for Body Contouring

Radiofrequency is currently the best available technology for non-invasive, non-surgical skin tightening and cellulite removal. Radiofrequency treatments are used in aesthetics as a way to deliver intense heat to tissues deeper than the epidermis (the outermost layer of the skin), with the aim to boost collagen production, circulation and (optionally, depending on treatment depth) fat release from those tissues. A pleasant, warm sensation is felt while the RF beams generate the therapeutic action that stimulates the fat and dermis layers. The RF energy transmitted into the fat layers forces the fat cells to release liquid fat, causing them to shrink and contract. Simultaneously, dermal activity stimulates the skin’s fibroblasts to increase collagen replenishment to strengthen and rejuvenate skin for a smoother, tighter, more contoured appearance.

What does the client feel?

During the procedure the client feels a gentle vibration as the radio frequency waves penetrate fat tissue. There must never be any pain; in fact, many clients experience the treatment as a very pleasant massage. The skin may be visibly strained after the procedure, and the skin may be warm and red as the result of increased blood circulation, but it goes back to normal after a short period of time.

How often should Radio Frequency be used?

Visible results are achieved after five treatments; there should be at least a two week pause between procedures. Sessions last between 20 and 40 minutes depending on your individual needs.

Where is radio frequency effective?

Any part of the body with cellulite or that needs to be tightened and firmed, including limp skin on the neck and face, on the back of arms, etc. Fat deposits and cellulite are the most common aesthetic problems affecting the lives of many people worldwide.
